ABOUT TONY

 

 

Tony (actor/singer/dancer) is a graduate of Yale University with a degree in Theatre studies.  He traveled the country extensively in the TheatreworksUSA productions of Ferdinand the Bull and Civil War,  as well as Nickelodeon and Live Nation’s production of Dora the Explorer Live: Dora’s Pirate Adventure.   He had the pleasure of being an opening cast member of Finding Nemo the Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

 

A few of Tony’s regional productions have included Hairspray (Seaweed), Tick…Tick, Boom (Michael), The Wiz (Tinman) and Rent (Angel) for which he received an award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical from LA critic Steven Stanley.  He is also a featured performer in the movie musical Camp having had the great pleasure to perform with the cast on David Letterman and tour Great Britain. He can also be heard on the movie’s original cast soundtrack. 

 

Tony's theatre and acting training began in Portland, Oregon where he was born and raised.  He began performing professionally at the age of 7 in the video series Wee Sing Together.   He went on to be featured in many local commercials and industrials for Portland Public Schools and Portland General Electric.  Tony portrayed the lost boy Tootles for three years in Portland Civic Theatre’s production of Peter Pan.  At age 9 he began his dance studies at The Stites Studio and continued his dance and acting education at Jefferson High School, the performing arts high school of Portland.  While at Jefferson he was a member of the Jefferson Dancers under the direction of Julane Stites as well as a member of the Jefferson Acting Ensemble.  Tony also played the Bassoon in the Portland Youth Symphony’s Preparatory Orchestra, as well as was a competitive figure skater for 6 years!
